Summary: The main point of this article was to inform readers of the statics of the affected people of the virus H1N1. As stated in the article, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) which is based in Atlanta has estimated that 17,000 individuals have fallen victim to this sickness . Although only 2,498 deaths have been confirmed to be caused by "swine flu" experts are certain that the total number is around 17,000. H1N1 was compared to a regular flu season and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimated that about 36,000 people in the United States die from seasonal flu. Unbelievable, 90% of the deaths usually occurred in people age 65 and older.

Conclusion: The subject of my article is a topic many people in the world have became aware of and have obtained some knowledge about the issue. H1N1 " swine flu" has had a huge impact on many aspects since the outbreak in April of 2009. This virus has impacted people's travel plans, encouraged more frequent hand washing and promoted going to the doctor's office faster if you feel ill. With the help of biologist and chemists, vaccines are available to help combat the virus.
